Protecting You and Your Smile

The last several months have been defined as being “unprecedented” and “uncertain.” While our office has been closed to help flatten the curve, our entire team has been working tirelessly to make sure that we are following all current CDC recommendations to keep you and your family safe during your visits with us.

We have been attending several virtual orthodontic meetings and webinars to find ways to further improve our patient care. At Bucks Mont Orthodontics, our patients’ safety and well-being is always the top priority, especially now. We have taken several measures to help protect our patients once the closure mandates are lifted. While we have always followed the strictest disinfection and sterilization guidelines set forth by OSHA and the CDC, we find it important to reassure our patients and the community during this time.

We will continue to have hand sanitizer throughout our office, wash our hands with soap and water after each patient, wear masks and gloves during all procedures (and now wear masks even when we are not doing a procedure), wipe all surfaces with a hospital grade disinfectant after each patient, and sterilize all equipment after use.

The first new measure we will be implementing is a COVID-19 screening questionnaire provided to us by the American Dental Association. We will have patients complete this digitally upon arrival to our office. We will also be taking the temperature of all orthodontic team members before the day starts and after lunch, to ensure that we do not have a fever. Any team member who has a fever, will be sent home. You will also notice us wearing more personal protective equipment when you come in for your visits. Specifically, we will be wearing N95 masks, goggles, face shields, and gowns. Trust that we will still be smiling under all of this gear.

To continue promoting social distancing to reduce the spread of COVID-19, we will now be limiting the number of individuals we permit in our office at any given time to 9 (including office team members). This may involve having family members stay in the car during appointments. Communicating with our patients’ parents is very important to us, so we will continue to provide parents with treatment updates via a phone call immediately after the appointment is completed. We will also be spreading out patient appointments throughout the day, so there is minimal crossover interaction among individuals.

We will make sure there is at least 6 feet between all individuals when they are in our office and at least 10-12 feet between each patient when they are in the treatment area. In addition, we are lucky to be one of the few orthodontic offices in the Warrington area that has 2 private patient rooms, which we will utilize to maintain distance between patients. In addition to this, our office has high-speed suctions/evacuators at each chair, which will be used to eliminate any aerosols that may be created during procedures.

As we get used to this new “normal” together, Bucks Mont Orthodontics will continue to keep our patients’ and community’s well being and safety at the forefront. We will implement any measures required by the CDC, American Dental Association, and The American Association of Orthodontists to protect our patients and ensure their journey to a magical smile progresses seamlessly. If you have any questions, or if we can be of any assistance, whether it is dental or non-dental related, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are here for you as your friend, neighbor, and orthodontic team.
